Parent Information
* Parenting a gifted children is often a mixed blessing that presents unusual circum-stances. Gifted children may have intense interests and yet be bored easily. They may exhibit a deeper understanding of situations than many adults while acting out their natural childishness. An insatiable sense of curiosity may lead to a constant barrage of questions!
* There are many resources available that provide general information to help with parenting and sibling issues.If you click here, gifted links, you will go to the Pennsylvania Association of Gifted Education (PAGE) gifted web site. PAGE is a statewide organization which offers support groups for parents, students, gifted children and it works for effective state legislation for gifted programs. You can join PAGE and attend their conferences held in April of each year.
* The books for loan page offers a list of books on a variety of gifted topics for your use. Write a note, call the school, or email me if you would like to preview these references.
